Lexington Partners - New York City, NY

Lexington Partners, a global independent manager of secondary private equity and co-investment funds, came to TPG Architecture in 2020 seeking to relocate and redesign their NYC office space. Recognizing that their existing space no longer provided proper amenities for a firm of their size and caliber, they worked with TPG to transform their space into a more modern and sophisticated workplace spanning two floors at 399 Park Avenue.

To accommodate staff and select the proper amenities for the space, an employee survey was conducted and considered, resulting in a complete office design with porcelain tile, eye-catching stonework, and luxury glass office fronts, including Quantum Double Butt-Glazed glass walls for added privacy. The reception area includes a soaring double-height ceiling and a striking interconnecting staircase. Concealed LED lighting complements the slatted wood wall paneling that serves as a backdrop to reception as well as the stairs.

In the workplace, staff have single and shared private offices that are universally sized for future planning. As the organization grows and changes, these offices can be adapted to different uses or occupants without needing significant redesign or construction. It simplifies reconfiguration and ensures consistency across the workspace.

The space includes several meeting spaces including a large boardroom and smaller collaboration rooms behind sleek glass office fronts, allowing natural light to flow through the space. By selecting Quantum double butt-glazed glass walls, TPG not only created an open and modern aesthetic for Lexington Partners but also designed a space that fosters transparency and collaboration while maintaining privacy when needed. This provides the perfect balance between openness and functionality in the workplace.
